The space can accommodate up to 500 guests for seated dinners, with a slightly smaller capacity if you plan to include a dance floor. Included with the rental is security, parking, restroom attendants, cleaning services, two bridal suites, two vendor rooms, a baby grand piano and a dance floor. Amber uplighting is also available to enhance the ambiance and create an unforgettable atmosphere! 

The Simon Reading Room

For those leaning into timeless elegance, the Simon Reading Room is a stunning space lined with white oak-paneled walls and framed by dual marble staircases. It’s a classic example of architectural grandeur, offering a sophisticated atmosphere for ceremonies, cocktail hours or smaller receptions. The room holds up to 350 for social events and 120 to 140 for seated receptions depending on whether a dance floor is included. The room includes all the same amenities as the Atrium, plus up to 250 ceremony chairs at no additional cost!

The East Garden

Couples seeking an outdoor element will love the East Garden, a lush oval lawn surrounded by mature trees and blooming seasonal florals. It’s a lovely space for intimate ceremonies or cocktail hours, accommodating up to 350 for social events and 250 for seated setups. The garden is perfect for romantic or fairytale-inspired weddings and includes all the same services and amenities provided in the indoor spaces.

All-Inclusive option

For couples wanting to make the most of the entire venue, Events at Central Library offers an all-inclusive wedding package that includes the Atrium, Simon Reading Room and East Garden. This package provides a seamless flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception and includes access to all three spaces, full use of amenities, and the same elegant touches such as the baby grand piano, amber uplighting and up to 250 ceremony chairs! Only one wedding is hosted per evening, giving couples exclusive access to the venue and the ability to personalize their layout without conflict.

Catering

The Ritz Charles is the library’s exclusive catering partner and will provide all food and beverage services, along with reception tables, linens and chairs. Outside food and drink are not permitted, and couples will be connected directly with Ritz Charles through the library’s events team to begin planning their menu and rentals after booking!
