A Sweet Louisville Engagement: The Engagement of Lily and Chandler

We love a good romance that blossoms because of a mutual friend. Lily and Chandler met at church through mutual friends, and the rest is history!

Don't you just love a romantic handwritten love letter? Chandler loved the concept, too. That’s why he utilized handwritten love letters during his proposal. Lily says, “He had my family give me letters, and each one sent me to a different spot where we went on some of our first dates. The last letter gave me the address of where he was.” Such a sweet scavenger hunt!

The ring is a perfect fit for the couple; it looks gorgeous on Lily, and it holds sentimental value for Chandler! He inherited the ring from his grandmother and simply had it resized to fit his love. 

These gorgeous photos happened by chance, but we're so lucky they did! Lily says that photographer Bobbi of Bobbi Photo was hosting a free photo contest, and the couple decided to enter. It must have been their lucky day, because they got some absolutely stunning photos from Bobbi and her talented team. Lily remembers, “She came to Louisville with a crew of people and we had a blast!”

When thinking of outfits to wear for their photos, Lily already had a few ideas in mind. “I love floral and I love denim. So I decided on a super fun floral dress that I know he likes a lot. And then we both regularly wear denim so I knew I wanted him to wear blue jeans with my blue jeans dress!”

The couple has been going with the flow in planning their wedding. But Lily says the experience is way more relaxing than what she thought! “A wise person told us to spend less time preparing wedding details and spend more time preparing for a lifelong marriage,” Lily explains. “That has been our top priority.” That sounds like a plan for us!
