Inspired by Sophia Richie's wedding, Sydni and Jalen wanted to create a clean and crisp celebration with lots of white details. Sydni explains, "It all felt very timeless but also very regal at the same time. We wanted to capture a similar elegance at our wedding." One of the details that they loved about their venue is that it felt like they were transported into another country while being right in the heart of Chicago. "The pillars and the courtyard had such a grand, yet elegant feeling and we knew we had to have it," she explains. When it came to choosing their other vendors, Sydni and Jalen wanted to support small and minority-owned businesses as much as they could. On top of that, they judged the quality of their vendors' work through their Instagram portfolios, and we think they assembled a dream team of professionals!
Advice from the Couple
Sydni shares, "Don't be afraid to go dress shopping alone. After trying on over 40 dresses, I realized that I needed to be alone. I was constantly becoming a victim of groupthink and then coming home and feeling totally different about what I tried on. It wasn't until I went along that I was able to really explore what I wanted in a dress and that's what's most important."
