This University of Michigan E-Session Has Classy Style: The Engagement of Andrea and Judson

Despite friends wanting to introduce them six months prior to their first meeting, Andrea and Judson met organically. When Judson was scheduled to play drums at Andrea's church in April of 2022, he made eye contact with Andrea (who was running music slides), and they instantly connected. Judson proposed to Andrea at the same church in January of 2023 in front of their family and friends!
 

Look how that ring sparkles! Even in the black and white photos, Andrea's ring stands out. Andrea shares, "Judson and I went ring shopping once, and I told him I wanted an oval-shaped ring with a classic and simple band. Of course, Judson went above and beyond what I could have asked for or imagined." We think her ring looks beautiful with their chic outfits!
 

Since Judson is from Ann Arbor and both he and Andrea love the outdoors, the happy couple settled on having their engagement photos taken at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. That idea evolved to getting photos taken around all of University of Michigan's campus! Once they knew where they wanted to go, they picked their outfits. Both of them wanted looks that reflected their personalities as well as their story. "I met Judson and he was wearing a black beanie," Andrea recalls. "It was the first thing I noticed about him."
 

Luckily, both Andrea and Judson knew what they wanted for their wedding before they got engaged! So far, the planning is rather easy, despite a few hiccups. "It's going well. Some stressful moments but more great moments and beautiful memories being created," Andrea gushes.
