This Vintage-Inspired Detroit E-Session Combines Nature and Industry: The Engagement of Marissa and Randy

An unlikely meeting in detention led Marissa and Randy to become high school sweethearts. Later on, together with all of Marissa's family, Randy and Marissa traveled to Orlando, Florida for a Disney World vacation. Taking some time for themselves, Marissa and Randy went out to dinner one evening where Randy decided to pop the question!

Preparing for this moment for quite some time, Marissa had plenty of sample photos of rings to send to Randy when the time came. "I sent him about a million different rings," Marissa shares. "He designed the perfect pear-shaped diamond with a halo." We think her ring is stunning and is the perfect design to dress up or down!
 

After seeing some of their photographer's work on Instagram a few years ago, Marissa knew she would work with her one day. All Marissa did was explain her vision to Mallory, their photographer, and let her put the rest together with her creative eye. Both being old souls, the couple knew they wanted to wear something unique that looked like it came from the 1950s.
 

Now that they are less than a year from their wedding date, Marissa and Randy feel like they still working some things out. So far, the wedding planning is going very well for the happy couple. However, their initial vision has changed. Marissa explains, "Things are looking a little different than originally planned because now we have a five-month-old daughter in the mix."
