New You Oasis, a state-of-the-art spa catering to modern clientele, does not fall short of its namesake. Located in South Bend, Indiana, this truly oasis-like spa offers contemporary treatments in an inviting and relaxing environment. The WeddingDay editorial team was invited in for an exclusive experience at the spa. What we discovered was beyond our imagination. Lead Licensed Esthetician, Anita Griggs, and Lead Certified Massage Therapist, Shannon Anderson, treated us to a few of their most popular services and serene treatments. Upon arriving you will be invited into a soothing environment featuring private treatment rooms and exclusive products. Your personal treatment technician will design an experience suited to your needs and concerns.

Facials, Massage and Sugaring

These tried and true services are given a whole new meaning at New You Oasis. Offering a variety of facial treatments from traditional European facials to steam and exfoliating facials - you will find something that is best for your skin. If you are not sure, don’t worry. Anita knows exactly what to do. In fact, I received my first ever facial while there. Anita curated a treatment that involved a gentle cleanser followed by some jade rolling and a high-frequency treatment. The cleanser smelled divine and didn’t affect my sensitive skin at all. The jade rolling helped to minimize any swollen areas on my face and the high-frequency gas created a low warmth on my face for a relaxing experience.

Our Creative Director, Kaitlyn Smale, got a massage from Shannon. Shannon focused in on Kaitlyn’s neck and shoulders (we work at computers all day!) and helped to loosen any tension. Offering deep tissue, hot stone, sport, Swedish, trigger point and prenatal massages, anyone can find a massage therapy session that works best for their needs. Imagine sharing a massage with your soon-to-be spouse a few days before the wedding or gifting one to your mom or maid-of-honor as a thank you!

 

INfrared Sauna

If you have never had the chance to experience a sauna - now is the time! In a private, one-person sauna you can relax while bathing in a gentle warmth that is as refreshing as it is therapeutic. While using the sauna at our shoot, I was escorted into a private space where you could undress without concern. It was an exclusive experience perfect for unwinding and relaxation.

Halotherapy

Your soon-to-be favorite spa service, Halotherapy, offers a new experience through a natural treatment that has been practiced for centuries. New You Oasis invites you into a private room that surrounds you with salt minerals that can improve your skin and respiratory system. Not only that, but Halotherapy can be used to reduce stress, help heal eczema, headaches and more. We were able to use New You Oasis’ Halogenerator together which is perfect for brides and couples or moms and daughters! You can definitely treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind treatment that uses modern technology that gently exposes you to micro-salt minerals as you chat with your friend or significant other.

Sensory Deprivation

In New You Oasis’ flotation therapy float tank, you will practice sensory deprivation without even realizing it. Their 6’ by 8’ tank is large enough to fit two people (hello week before the wedding relaxation!) and extremely roomy for one person. The tank is only filled eight to twelve inches high and is mixed with up to 1,000 pounds of Epsom salts that cause you to float as if you are experiencing zero gravity. Best of all, you have the option to have the room fully lit or completely dark. They also have soothing, colorful lights from a soft blue to a stress-reducing green. Kaitlyn was lucky enough to use the float tank and felt a complete sense of weightlessness. The salt causes you to naturally float and you can feel any anxiety melt away as your body absorbs the therapeutic treatment.
