“As wedding photographers, we are used to working at a fast pace—however, beautiful portraits do take time. Trust me, your photographer wants nothing more than for you to enjoy your wedding day AND have awesome portraits to deliver after the wedding day is over, so be sure you work together and communicate on your timeline. We consider it a big part of our job to consult with our couples prior to their wedding date about timeline to be sure brides consider the dreaded time warp of travel and the long list of family photo combinations often requested by immediate family members.
We have found that when brides know what to expect on their wedding day and don’t feel rushed, they are free to enjoy their day. When you are relaxed, it shows in your images! Be sure to not rush those special “you may kiss your bride” moments and take your time walking down the aisle. Of course, unexpected things WILL happen, but when you choose a wedding photographer with experience, they will be able to get things back on track and adjust without skipping a beat! Not every moment of your wedding day will be a perfectly orchestrated sequence (and honestly, it shouldn’t be) but a professional photographer should be willing to offer you their advice and experience to help you plan your wedding creating the perfect flow, and balancing fun, family, and beautiful photography!!!” -Kyle and Jen Stevenson of Stevenson Photo
