Knowing they wanted to have a city venue that offered both indoor and outdoor spaces for their wedding, Sara and Patrick decided to start by finding somewhere that fulfilled this tall order. They ended up securing the perfect spot. “It felt like a unique mix of vintage and industrial, but with upscale touches throughout, yet it was enough of a blank canvas that we felt we’d really be able to make it our own,” Sara raves. The couple wanted their wedding to feel like a big party. By incorporating string quartet versions of pop music and a French fry bar as a late night snack, their whimsical, colorful celebration came to life!
Advice from the Couple
Sara and Patrick share, “Make sure your vendors not only understand, but are excited about your overall vision for your big day. If you want a whimsical day, don’t work with someone whose portfolio is mainly formal, traditional weddings. Your vendors play a big role in executing your vision and the more aligned you are, the more likely they’ll be able to deliver what you’re hoping for.”
