Whimsical Pastels Create a Soft, Elegant Fairytale Style Shoot in Carmel, Indiana

The main idea for this shoot was to create the dreamiest shoot that combined a hint of whimsy and an element of elegance. "The shoot was my idea! I was envisioning a fairytale, with lots of florals and pastels!" Meghan, the planner of this shoot, shares. 
 

Since she has a love for pastels and doesn't often see them in the wedding world, Meghan wanted to create something unique from the trends we see these days. In fact, the color scheme of this shoot actually reminded the stationery designer of a very trendy singer. Meghan explains, "I told her our color palette and instantly she was inspired by Taylor Swift's album Lover." We love the designs that she came up with, especially the butterflies on the menus!

The two dresses the team selected for this shoot could not be more whimsical and princess-inspired! "One was from a designer and one was from a bridal gallery," Meghan shares. With a stroke of pure creative genius, the dress for the solo bride was actually hand-crafted specifically for this style shoot. "The designer came up with the concept after I showed her what style we were going for," she raves. In both of the dresses, the team wanted to make sure there were plenty of floral details to tie into the shoot. Though they are cohesive, the dresses both stand on their own and flatter the brides perfectly, and we love the way Kate Legters Photography creatively captured the stunning models in them!
 

We have got to talk about those beautiful tablescapes! The ample glassware helps bring in that elegant air, specifically the glass vases and candlesticks on the round tables. Ashley at Luva Events truly made this day the success it was. "Our decor vendor was fabulous," Meghan gushes. "She really helped give us some ideas for the fireplace in our venue and she was the biggest help we could've asked for!" We love their decision to use gold flatware and accents alongside the lavender linen. The way they tucked the napkin between the plates is another classic touch!
 

No wedding shoot is complete without a cake, and this one is a gorgeous addition to this shoot. The periwinkle frosting is the perfect shade to match the linens they used for this shoot! We also adore the floral details on this three-tiered cake. The baker did an amazing job making sure this cake was the right mix of elegance and pastel to fit wonderfully with the theme!
