Woodland Elegance in Niles, Michigan: The Real Wedding of Sophia and Austen Park

Photos ByArielle Peter Associates

Once Sophia and Austen were engaged, they knew they wanted an autumn wedding for beautiful photo-ops and to keep their wedding date close to their dating anniversary. Completely inspired by the season, Sophia and Austen planned a cozy yet elegant wedding with classic elements and pops of red and orange. Their venue, The Morris Estate, really helped them lean into the theme. "It's tucked into the woods on the bank of a river and is so incredibly elegant and beautiful. Even more so in person than in photos!" Sophia gushes. Despite there being several stunning elements to their wedding day, the flowers were Sophia's showstoppers. She couldn't believe how beautiful they were when she first saw them. They were exactly what she pictured from her Pinterest board!

Advice from the Couple

"I would advise other brides to not get caught up in the minutia of wedding planning or the desire for things to go 'perfectly' on the day. It can be so much fun, and SO addictive/all-consuming to plan a wedding and watch your vision come to life, but on the actual wedding day you will care far less about all of those little things. While nice decorations and everything going to plan are ideal, I promise all you'll really care about is seeing your partner and being so unbelievably giddy that you're actually getting married and making this huge, grand commitment in front of all your loved ones!" Sophia gushes.
