If you have ever researched Mustard Seed Gardens, then you will know that they are famous for their gorgeous outdoor scenery. That was the source of inspiration for this entire shoot. Chrissy Hudacin, owner of Special Occasion Designs, says, “When you juxtapose casual elements with higher end details the result is unexpected and enticing so I wanted that to be very evident in the final product. I also wanted to take a color palette that can sometimes come across as standoffish or flamboyant (purple) and make it appear fresh and alluring.” They brought that spring vision to life with a colorful palette and lush floral captured in a bright style by Rakoteet Photography.
The team chose Mustard Seed Gardens not only for its gorgeous trees but for its rustic charm and elegance. Chrissy adds, “The venue is not only beautiful with all of its options that it presents for couples but it did have a perfect tree on the grounds that is designed and set up for couples to use as a ceremony location or a beautiful canopy outdoor reception area as well. They also have the ever-popular farm style tables and several perfect outdoor areas to have a nice garden style reception.” It was the perfect location for this flourishing spring vision to come to life!
The team also included a bright coral color as a nod to the Pantone Color of the Year. They say, “We wanted to highlight the coral color but using some colors that you might not think about using with it.” Incorporating a bold and bright palette was a fun addition and brought all the details together. Something Blue Stylists created the perfect bridal look with a soft eye, bold lip and delicate updo. It was a feminine and bright look that completed the shoot!
The team was able to incorporate other wedding trends as well. Outside of using the Pantone Color of the Year, they say, “We wanted to bring in several creatives to help us out on this item and wanted a fun dessert table to show couples that you are not limited to just cake." They utilized pieces like antique furniture and colored cake stands to make things pop.
