You'll Swoon for this Tastefully Travel-Focused Indianapolis Wedding: The Real Wedding of Amanda Nierman and Patrick Coleman

Amanda met Pat on a fun night out when she first moved to Indianapolis. After hitting it off, the pair knew they were meant to be more than friends. When Amanda came home after traveling abroad for work, the pair decided to have a spontaneous Christmas card photo session. Between snaps of the lens, Pat popped the question. Talk about a picture-perfect proposal!

Amanda only went dress shopping twice before she found the right one for her. “I had an idea of what I did and didn’t want, but this was perfect! I fell in love with the cap sleeves, the detailed back and the lace with some sparkle,” she gushes. Going with the theme 'classic meets timeless,' the pair wanted to find the perfect vendors to express their personalities. Amanda explains, “We knew that we would have guests from all over who wouldn’t know us, so it was important to me that I incorporated things that we loved so they could get to know us.”

The couple wanted the design of the reception to reflect their love of travel--and their love of their dogs! From using a globe as their guest book to displaying photos of their fur babies on the bar sign, Amanda and Pat made their wedding day their own!

Advice from the couple

Amanda encourages couples to remember what the true focus of a wedding should be: on each other. “If you want to put little touches in there--stick to your gut, because at the end of the day, it is your day.”
