This Luxe Lafayette, Indiana Celebration is Perfectly Polished: The Real Wedding of Jelana and Sean Bolden

Childhood sweethearts Jelana and Sean first met in elementary school. “We have known each other for 19 years and dating a solid 10,” Jelana says. “According to both of our families, marriage is long overdue.” Sean proposed during their family thanksgiving celebration. Their love was the perfect thing to be thankful for!

Jelana had an eye for elegant and classy style as she went dress shopping. The gown she picked has a European flair and needed no alterations! “The dress fit me like a glove!” she gushes. “Perfect fit. I walked out and bam, everyone in the room (including the neighboring family that was not even with us) said that’s 'the one'!”

What we love

We love couples that show local love! Jelana says, “I wanted to support minority vendors, small vendors, local vendors and anyone else with amazing services and not enough ‘press.’ I am looking to grow my own business and that starts by supporting locally!”

Advice from the couple

While planning for the wedding is glamorous, Jelana advises couples to focus on their future marriage. “Make sure to take a short pre-marital counseling session, so that you are not discussing sex, finances or career goals the first month of your marriage,” she notes.
