Inspired by a single color, this entire style shoot was created by Chettara of Chettara T. Photography. "The color blue/indigo was really calling to me." Chettara shares. "I wanted this to be a fun and simple elopement with pops of bold color and to show you really can do any and everything you want on your day." So she grabbed some of her vendor friends and helped bring this shoot to life!

"I had a vision of an indigo colored veil (which I ended up having to dye myself) and going to some of my favorite places to hang out or grab a sweet treat in Detroit," Chettara explains. Wanting to include some of her favorite locales and interests in this shoot. She ended up choosing a music store, a sweet shop and bar that were all brightly colored and fit the vibes of the shoot. The team wanted to create something different and quirkier from what you normally see, and the colors were a big deciding factor in that.

The florist, Amber, absolutely nailed it with the floral designs she put together. Amber gushes, "We chose these not only to support the indigo color palette (we stayed on the cool side of the color wheel with green, blue and purple) but also to give a fun, unique and organic shape to the arrangement." We think the combination of both texture and colors is absolutely beautiful!

Speaking of beauty, check out that bride! The dress was kept rather simple with the idea being it would complement the bright pops of color that were in the shoot. It looks amazing on the bride, Sarah, and works perfectly as a backdrop to sharpen the colors all around her. "Sarah did her own hair and makeup. She understood the assignment!" Chettara gushes. "She used lighter blues to complement the darker tones in the veil and bouquet."

Chettara also had a vision of the happy couple traveling back home after a long day out in Detroit and enjoying a sweet snack from the comfort of their bed. "I wanted a small cake that our couple could enjoy in their bed after we went around the city for a bit, and sadly, our baker couldn't make the shoot." Chettara says. Instead, they quickly changed course, got one from a local supermarket, and the florist added some floral garnishes from flowers that she had left over.
