Wanting to do something different with a styled elopement, Laura Spencer Photography, planner and photographer of this shoot, dreamt up this unique idea. "I didn't want to do a traditional elopement style wedding at a normal wedding venue. I wanted something fun and retro that included current trends and vibrant colors," Laura explains. We love the vintage vibes this style shoot gives while remaining modern and fun!

Though her initial idea was to have the style shoot take place in a roller rink, the bowling alley creates some one-of-a-kind shots that cannot be achieved anywhere else! "We don't have any roller rinks in our town, so why not do a bowling alley!" Laura raves. "The venue still had the old retro bowling alley charm and also included a variety of nostalgic arcade games. The old school ball return machines worked perfect for the style concept we were looking for."

When choosing an alternative wedding theme, it's more fun to pick a funky wedding dress to go with it! Laura shares, "We didn't want anything super traditional for the wedding dress; we wanted something that would POP! We decided on a neon green short dress with puffy sleeves to go along with our vibrant retro style." We love the simple yet vintage style to the bride's hair, too. The slicked middle part and loose curls reminds us of popular hairstyles in the 60s and 70s. The addition of the pearly veil brings in touches of the past that are becoming popular again today.

The color scheme for this shoot is absolutely fabulous! "The colors we chose were neon vibrant colors including - neon orange, hot pink, neon green, neon yellow and some touches of black and white. We wanted the colors to represent more retro 80s vibes. The more color, the better!" Laura gushes. We love the way the colors pop out of the photos that Laura Spencer Photography took as well as the faded vintage style that were incorporated in others. One of the only rentals that the team felt they needed for this shoot was the inclusion of some disco balls for another fun element!

No wedding would be complete without a few fresh florals! The bride's bouquet makes several fun appearances in this shoot to bring in additional pops of color. With vibrant purplish-pinks and yellows, the bouquet complements the main colors of this shoot beautifully. We also love the style of the stationery that was designed for this retro shoot. "I wanted a sign that used bubble font that looked like something from the 80s to give off that retro feel," Laura says. "The name sign came out better than I would have ever imagined!"
