In this modern day of dating, Madison and Jonathan met on Hinge. Even though they went to the same college, they ran in different circles, so they didn't meet until they matched on the dating app. After they had been dating for a time, on a hike in a state park, Madison and Jonathan stopped at a bench to admire the view of the beach below them. Even though it rained all morning, they didn't get rained on in that spot and Jonathan still got down on one knee to ask for her hand!
Look how beautiful Madison is in that stunning A-line gown from Becker's Bridal! "All I knew walking in was that I didn’t want a super form fitting gown and I didn’t want a big ballgown. I didn’t know much else," Madison admits. The team at Becker's was able to quickly guide Madison to the dress of her dreams. We think it was the perfect gown for this outdoorsy wedding!
When Madison and Jonathan first got engaged, Madison jumped right into planning. She shares, "There were so many ideas I liked and my thoughts changed a lot throughout the planning process. I used Pinterest for a lot of inspiration." Along with a wedding planning website to keep her on schedule, Madison joined wedding Facebook groups and Subreddits to see what advice other couples had.
Due to the season and their venue, it was easy for Jonathan and Madison to pick their wedding colors. "Jon and I are both outdoorsy, active people, so we wanted colors inspired by nature. It was easy being on a golf course, and being in fall, we used a lot of green, red/orange, beige and a little gold," Madison explains. They ended up with a simple yet elegant wedding! We especially love how Jessie Silva's expert eye captured all the colors of their wedding and the fall season in Michigan beautifully.
What We Love
Like all couples, Madison and Jonathan incorporated meaningful elements to their wedding to make it special to the two of them. Madison gushes, "Jon's aunt was our officiant and my cousin did a reading during the ceremony, that made it very special and personalized. We also had a memorial table for family and friends that had passed with their pictures."
Advice from the Couple
Madison and Jonathan advise, "We would tell people to do your best but really try not to worry about every detail. Yes, it’s an important
day and everyone wants it to be perfect, but you don’t need to go into crazy debt, invite everyone you know, or lose your hair because you’re so stressed. It will still be a good day because you’re marrying your favorite person. Everything else is just extra."
