This style shoot submission to our 2019 Style Shoot Design Contest swept us off our feet! This stunning shoot was designed with creativity in mind, using one of our pre-determined themes, 'The Elements', to take us on a gorgeous elemental journey throughout the shoot. Michelle Nikitaras of Unveiled Weddings and Events says, “We really wanted to create something different, that we haven’t seen before. We really wanted to incorporate all four elements rather than focusing on one."
That stationery deserves a special shout out. Michelle explains how Liz from EJD Design worked hand-in-hand with the team to create an overall concept design. Who would want to miss a wedding with an invitation like that?
Michelle notes that the team added modern pieces to the shoot to keep up on the trends. This included the bride's bright red dress and the clear illusion chairs on both sides of the table.
The decor and flowers are so finely detailed, it's worth stopping and staring! The team tried to think outside the box and not only use just flowers, but also natural elements that fit each section of tablescape. For earth, the team used moss and natural salt rocks; for water, they used real coral pieces; for air, they used a lot of grass; and for fire, they added touches of natural wood elements to tie everything together.
The theme of this shoot was “Modern Elements of Nature.” The colors and designs absolutely pop in every aspect of this shoot! No doubt it’s thanks to the venue’s open and airy quality. Michelle says, “We wanted to branch out to an area we don’t spend a lot of time in, and Company 251 has such a beautiful white, crisp and clean space that can be totally transformed into any style, theme and color palette. The venue was wonderful to work with, too!”
Michelle adds, “We chose one color that greatly represented each element that also flowed together nicely with the other colors.” We love the creativity this team showed in every aspect!
This bride showcases four different dresses and makeup styles for each element. The team made sure she had the ideal color palette to match with the specific elements she is representing. Michelle notes that they used, “bright red for fire, softer purple ‘sunset’ look for air, a shimmering blue for water, and a natural green and brown for earth.”
