Focused on capturing the quiet luxury that this venue has in many of its natural details, this team planned a simply elegant style shoot that incorporated the beauty of day and night for our 2024 Style Shoot Design Contest, sponsored by AAYS Event Rentals. Cheryl Miller and Tiffany Burns, planners of this shoot, explain, "We chose simple but luxurious accents to convey a romantic upscale wedding and rehearsal dinner vibe." We love the way this opulent yet natural wedding scene came to life!
Using "Peach Fuzz", the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year, was a fun challenge for this creative team. They wanted to do something unique, so they incorporated it in the lovely signage, created by Your Little Details, which showed off the Peach Bourbon Smash signature drinks. Our favorite detail is that they used actual peaches in the table decor! And we love that two different tablescapes were utilized in their shoot. Thie first is more elegant and regal with lots of glassware and white details while the second is more natural with numerous wooden textures and warm colors. Including both looks mirrors the two themes that they wanted to show off regarding the venue.
Speaking of the locale, there are so many quiet yet luxurious things about this venue. "It is a 473 acre compound that can house over 30 people," Cheryl and Tiffany rave. "The Lodge at Rush Lakes is perfect for the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the reception. It also offers a plethora of other activities to do while on the property, including some fantastic bridal portraiture." We love the elegance and luxury that the spacious natural scenery offers for all happy couples!
For the dress, they wanted a blend of quiet luxury as well. The gown is a classic A-line cut, which is a silhouette that has been admired by many brides for numerous years. However, the lines of the dress and the elegant satin material bring in an air of opulence! As for the hair and makeup, the team opted for simple natural makeup with a special illuminator to enhance the way the light hit the bride's face and they styled a modern take on the French twist for her hair.
And you can't forget the flowers and cake! This team actually utilized preserved blooms in their table numbers in addition to live flowers for this shoot. "Anemones were chosen for the dark bold center to ground the design, as well as shades of pink and peach roses and berries to complement the Pantone Color of the Year. Hydrangeas were used on the pontoon boat for their fullness and because they exude quiet luxury," Cheryl and Tiffany share. As for the cake, the team added flowers to the three-tiered white cake to blend nature with the simple elegance of the icing design!
