The inspiration behind this style shoot was to transport the viewer into the fantastical world of a beloved book and TV show and Sweet Lovers Styled Shootout and Thoughtfully Designed Co. did just that! "This styled shoot was like walking into a real life Bridgerton scene," Rachael, from Rachael B Photography, gushes.
If you are looking for an 1800s style venue to get married at, this one is perfect for you! Rachael raves, "I believe this venue was chosen due to it looking like a home from the show Bridgerton. It had lovely grounds and an amazing inside!" The wood paneled walls beautifully frame the light, soft colors of the décor of the shoot. The exterior is also a beautiful with many unique places for the team to shoot like the large stone patio that overlooks all the grounds and plenty of stairs for dramatic poses.
"The blue couch that was used really tied in the feel of Bridgerton!" Rachael explains, "It looks like a couch right out of the Bridgerton's drawing room." In fact, many of the details of this shoot incorporate the light blue theme including the stationery designed by The Lettering Grove. With light, airy pastels being some of the main colors in the show, other colors like rosy pinks were a perfect addition. From the candles to the tea cups and gold silverware, this shoot looks like everything came from the 19th century!
There were four dresses used in this shoot. Two of them show the elegance of the period while two of them are a more casual style. The voluminous ballroom gown is all glamour while still remaining timeless. The other elegant dress is light pink satin with an empire waist. This classic style was often accompanied with gloves, like the team styled it in this shoot. For the casual dresses, one is a simple white gown that still has the classic look while the other was a plain white dress paired with a colorful and decorative corset. All of the brides have rather simple makeup, with just a touch of glitter on the eye, and their hair styles are all relatively period appropriate.
Take a look at that five-tier cake! "Two Sons Cakery is so talented and added a hanging medallion in the center of that cake!" Rachael says. This cake is truly a work of art from the golden medallions on the bottom and middle tiers to the hanging one in the middle of the carved-out second tier. The light blue tiers add a little color to the cake and tie it to the rest of the shoot. We also love the addition of macarons for a bite-sized snack! The champagne tower and note from Lady Whistledown are also fun touches!
