Reyna made an instant connection with Neil on Match.com. After Reyna stole a quick kiss on their first date, the pair felt the sparks! On the day after Christmas, the couple took a trip up to Chicago where Neil planned on proposing. “He was planning on falling down while skating and getting back up on his knee with the ring, but we did not end up going ice skating,” Reyna says. “Instead, he took me to Navy Pier and took me to a spot with a beautiful view of the city on the lake and proposed.”

Reyna went to three different bridal shops before she found the perfect dress. She says, “At the third location, I found a dress that stood out from all the other ones. I knew I wanted to try it on for fun, but I instantly felt like a princess and felt so beautiful in the dress. Even my sister cried. I knew it was the way I was meant to feel.”

This couple loves stargazing and cultivated a celestial theme for their wedding. Despite their plans changing because of COVID-19, they were still able to have a beautiful celebration!

What we love

Reyna’s parents were unable to travel to the wedding, so her little brother gave her away. “He surprised me with a special video of my parents doing a speech for us, which was amazing” she gushes. “It felt like they actually were a part of our wedding even though they weren’t there.”

Advice from the couple

Reyna urges couples to take their time during the planning stages. She advises, “Have fun and let your groom have fun with it, too. I let my groom decide a lot of small details with me and it made it our day, not just mine.”
