Jasmine and Tyshaun knew each other as childhood friends but really connected when they both started working together at a summer job. When they knew it was meant to be, they decided to take their relationship to the next level! The pair had a Christmas engagement, making the holidays that much sweeter!
Jasmine’s custom dress was truly one-of-a-kind. After hunting for two days, she fell in love with two styles on different dresses and asked them to be combined. She explains, “I fell in love with the long train of one and the details of the other. Needless to say, I got the straps cut off that bad boy with the tiny, classy, details I wanted, and the form-fitting shape.”
Jasmine’s inspiration came mainly from Instagram, Pinterest and her mother. She knew that there would be a few unique details but overall wanted family and friends to be a large part of the celebration.
What we love
Jasmine and Tyshaun were happy to have their loved ones around them during their big day but wanted to include those who couldn’t be there, too. “My grandparents and great aunts, along with Ty’s aunt were represented through pictures, brooches and my grandma's pearl necklace that was given to me on the wedding day,” Jasmine explains. Additionally, the pair hired a painter to capture the couple’s first dance on canvas. “The painter was a great spin because she was able to capture the feel of the room on our first dance--much like a photographer, but in a different expression.”
Advice from the couple
Jasmine urges couples to stay in the moment. She says, “Accept what's happening good, bad and indifferent, because you might not get the exact moment that you planned for, but you are receiving the exact moment you were supposed to have and experience.”
