A Classic Christmas-Themed Celebration in Nappanee, Indiana: The Real Wedding of Bethany and Keidrick Miller

Bethany and Keidrick met in elementary school and grew closer as the years went by until Keidrick asked Bethany out after graduattion. Keidrick wanted the perfect Hallmark moment when he proposed, so he took Bethany to a Christmas tree farm. "He handmade a wooden sign that said 'Marry Me', which he also wrapped in lights. He had soft music playing and candles on the ground. It was absolutely perfect!" Bethany raves.
 

Most of the vendors the couple chose for their wedding were close friends or acquaintances of the bride and groom. Chantel Miller Storytelling, the photographer for the wedding, was a good friend of theirs from high school. She beautifully and expertly captured the couple's love for each other! Their videographer was also a friend of one of Bethany's college friends. "We also wanted to support our local vendors as much as possible, so we asked around and found vendors who had great reputations," Bethany says.
 

Once she was engaged, Bethany started organizing her Pinterest boards to start bringing her wedding vision to life. Bethany explains, "Securing a venue that could fit a large amount of people was our first priority. We wanted to make sure all our family and friends could be there to celebrate with us." They ended up finding the best venue possible to fit all 350 of their guests. The wooden interior, high ceilings and amazing staff were what drew the happy couple to the venue.
 

Look how gorgeous Bethany is in that dress! "I knew from the beginning that I wanted long sleeves on my dress, and that narrowed my options significantly. Most of the dress boutiques I tried didn’t have many long-sleeved dress options, and so I did try on plenty of different styles to see if there was anything else I could potentially fall in love with," Bethany shares. However, in the end, she chose to stick with her original vision for the dress. We think it was the prefect choice! The backless detail is beautiful. We also love her classic bun and bold lip that completes her look. Her shoes from Badgely Mischka truly tie everything together!
 

 

What We Love

To honor their Christmas proposal, they wanted a wedding that had Christmas décor without being an over-the-top theme. They stuck to a neutral palette with black, ivory, champagne and metallic gray. TikTok helped Bethany find the inspiration she wanted and Burns Special Events helped bring it to life. They were also able to incorporate some special touches in the décor. Bethany saved all the roses Keidrick bought her, dried them and used them to decorate the aisle. "We also had a memorial table with a candle burning to honor our loved ones who have passed away. This was especially meaningful to Keidrick, who tragically lost a brother several years ago," Bethany gushes.
 

 

Advice from the Couple

Bethany and Keidrick advise, "Give yourself plenty of time to plan and do your best to stay organized! Excel spreadsheets were my best
friend throughout the process, and organizing things kept me from stressing out when we got close to the wedding day. If you are D.I.Y.-ing anything, do it well in advance. Don’t procrastinate! Also, on the day of the event, just let it all go—all the little things you are afraid you forgot about, all the stress—just forget about it and enjoy the day. I know everyone says this, but it’s true—the day goes by so quickly!"
