In this modern age of dating, Danielle and Andrew actually met through Snapchat and a mutual friend. Andrew takes the cake for the most exciting proposal! The couple decided to go skydiving together and when Danielle got down to the ground, there was a sign asking if she would marry him!
Even though Danielle thought she knew what she wanted when she went dress shopping, she ended up changing her mind when the time came. "I originally wanted a dress with no lace and more of a sleek white style. Turns out that didn’t happen once I tried on my dress. It was the second dress I tried on and I kept referring to it on all the other dresses I tried on, so I knew it was the one," Danielle gushes. The team at The Wedding Shoppe was super helpful in finding Danielle's dream dress, and we think she looks absolutely stunning in this a-line gown!
When it was time for the planning process to begin, Danielle and Andrew went through a lot of trial and error. Their minds actually changed a few times while they were planning, too. Danielle explains, "I originally wanted an intimate ceremony in front of water and a large reception, but then decided that I preferred to have a bigger ceremony, so I decided to go for a church ceremony!" And they had the perfect team of vendors to help make their day a success! Danielle and Andrew actually found a lot of their vendors through Facebook wedding groups and word-of-mouth recommendations.
Since they were having a traditional church wedding, Danielle and Andrew decided they wanted to have a classic reception with a modern twist. They went with an elegant color palette that had a pop of color to it. "Our color palette was dusty rose, black and white," Danielle explains. "We chose the colors because it was what we both agreed on and looked best to us." Throughout their reception you can spot elegant and classic details—like the classic glasses and ceramic dinner plates—and modern touches—like the flower wall and signature drinks!
What We Love
There were so many significant details to their day. During the reception, Danielle and Andrew wore matching "Mr. Atallah" and "Mrs. Atallah" Vans to dance the night away in comfort. Another unique accessory is the clutch that Danielle carried. It was the same one her mother used on her wedding day! They also did a first touch as opposed to the modern first look, to share a moment together before the ceremony started. As far as special décor goes, Danielle and Andrew displayed pictures of themselves as children on the tables at their reception.
Advice from the Couple
Danielle and Andrew advise, "Soak every part of it in. Planning is stressful, but just know it’s because you care so much about your special day. You will never get these moments back so focus on living in the moment and try to document as much of it as possible so you can look back on it. For the day of, just breathe. Everyone says it goes by fast, but we never really knew how fast. So, smile, laugh, enjoy moments with loved ones and most importantly, spend the whole day and night with your partner. It was the best decision to stick together all day and at the reception so that we look back and remember everything we did and saw together."
