This Colorful Boho Style Shoot Feels Like It’s Straight from 1970: A Groovy Michigan Style Shoot

For all of you who wish we could travel back in time, this shoot is for you! Emily from Obrella Images wanted to create a style shoot that was unique and different from a typical wedding you see today. And we think she pulled it off flawlessly! Emily says, “I wanted everything to be colorful, bold and different from anything I have seen before!”
 

The boldly colored walls of the venue are what caught Emily’s attention in a random Google search. “This venue had an amazing modern outdoor color wall and custom shipping containers that were hand-painted to fit the theme!” But the venue wasn't the only thing perfect for the shoot's aesthetic. Emily custom-made the stationery for the shoot. Emily raves, “The stationery was so much fun to create because it was so colorful and it looked nothing like a normal wedding invitation!”
 

Can we talk about how delicious these sweets look? The three-tiered buttercream cake matches the theme so well, and the iced donuts are a great dessert alternative! 
 

The models also look stunning for this shoot. Emily knew she wanted the dresses to be more of a boho vibe but look different from each other, too. “The white tulle star dress was my original inspiration for this styled shoot and loved the way it looked with the modern white boots!” Emily explained. The other dress was so dreamy and flowy that Emily couldn’t resist adding it to the shoot. 
 

We are in love with the groovy tablescape! AAYS Event Rentals provided the perfect additions to enhance the shoot's style! The flowers perfectly match the theme, and the colors really pop. The settings and menus are also gorgeous! “The charger plates were an absolute dream because of their iridescent color and were one of my favorite choices of the entire day!” Emily gushes. And we agree that everything fits together perfectly!
