Love conquers all--this is what we’ve learned during the COVID-19 pandemic. As wedding sizes were forced to get smaller due to social distancing regulations, the overall look of a ceremony and reception changed. Allison Kelley and Michelle Nikitaras, the dream team behind Unveiled Weddings & Events, wanted to show brides that small weddings can still be just as grand as big ones! They created a stunning winter wonderland of a shoot with an amazing team of vendors.
The team chose to set up this shoot in Michelle’s own home! Allison notes, “We wanted to give this a feel of an ‘at home’ wedding at a private residence, to show that it doesn’t matter where you get married, we can still bring the style!” The colors chosen were clean, monochromatic white with a touch of gold and black to modernize the style. “White screams winter to us being in the Midwest,” she adds. “We always think of the snow!”
This two-tiered cake is the perfect frosted treat for this winter shoot.
The variety in textures of linens used on this tablescape showcases all that you can do with a monochromatic color palette. Unveiled Weddings & Events got to flex their creative muscles by utilizing the decor that they have available to rent. The team added a few dried blooms in the floral arrangements to keep up with the trend of dried florals.
There were a few bridal looks that the team was going for--so that means multiple gowns! The first gown features stunning long sleeves and intricate beaded designs. A flowing tulle skirt paired with a white sweater achieved an outdoorsy vibe for the bride's second look. “We wanted it to be something that was warm and cozy, yet still airy and light like a wedding gown,” Allison explains. The third gown makes a statement as a beaded, classic ballgown! Paired with big curls and bold red lips, this bride looked like a dream!
