Alyssa met Erik online, and it was an immediate match. “After our first few dates, we both knew we didn’t want to see anyone else and began dating,” she recalls. When it came time to take the next step in their relationship, Erik left a trail of notes in their home for Alyssa to find when she came home from work. The notes led her to their backyard, where a hopeful Erik was down on one knee. She of course said 'yes!'
We love the delicate details in this celebration, captured beautifully by Heather Sherrill Photography!
Because Alyssa has owned a bridal salon for six years, she knew exactly what style of gown she wanted. She put her own spin on the style by altering her own dress to include a removable ballgown skirt. We love it when a bride shows her originality!
What we love
With the couple’s background in the wedding industry, most of the vendors were good friends. Erik’s father was even their officiant! There’s nothing better than being surrounded by those you love most on your wedding day.
Advice from the couple
To ensure your wedding theme stays on point, Alyssa says, “Make sure your vendors know what you want and don’t want so that you’re all on the same page on your wedding day.”
