With seeing a rise in Barbie pink at weddings and their love of Kasey Musgraves, this creative team wanted to bring together the two with a rhinestone cowgirl elopement! They pictured plenty of pink, sparkles, disco balls, boots and of course, a cowgirl hat.
Once they had the theme set, the team started to look for a venue close to them in Louisville, Kentucky and landed on this new one in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The venue isn't actually a traditional wedding venue but a concert venue! The team all decided it was an excellent choice for this shoot since it is inspired by a country music artist. With it being right on the water, it offers some unique photo opportunities as well as plenty of white walls that make for great backdrops!
One of the first things they found was the perfect dress! From the beginning, they knew it needed to be something with lots of sparkle to fit into the vision for this shoot. They also fell in love with the short dress elopement trend that they have been seeing. This playful dress is the perfect fit for this shoot, especially with the fun lacy sleeves! They also lucked out with the dress fitting the bride like a glove! Another key detail of their vision was a bold eye look. We love that strip of sparkle across the top of the bride's lid. They had the groom's bright pink suit custom-made, and we love the addition of the bolo tie!
For flowers, the team dyed baby's breath pink for it to blend in to this bubbly shoot. They also used garden roses to fill some space with their fullness and bright pink color. One rental they were sure to use is a flower wall made of white roses. It was a perfect addition to this rustic scene. We also love the various shades of pink utilized in the tablescape as well as the glassware that elevates the elegance of this shoot!
Like the rest of this shoot, the cake took a non-traditional turn. Instead of a stereotypical cake, the team wanted something special. Cookies weren't really an option either since they have become a wedding dessert staple. The team decided on macarons covered with frosting so they resembled a cake. The baker placed the macarons in the shape of a heart and layered them on top of each other to truly look like a miniature cake for this elopement. We are in love with the tiny disco balls the team decided to add to the cake, too!
