This Indiana Fairytale Engagement Session Has Us Swooning: The Engagement of Kiara and Andrew

Kiara had three rules for Andrew when he proposed: her hair had to look good, she had to look stylish and the proposal had to be captured on camera. During a trip to Niagra Falls, the couple took a night out on the town to get dinner at a fancy restaurant. Andrew asked their server to take some photos of the couple, and got down on one knee in a surprise proposal!

Kiara sent Andrew a photo of the style of ring she wanted early on in their relationship, and he didn’t disappoint! She gushes, “I love the ring that he got me, because he added his twist--literally. The ring has gorgeous braided diamonds on the band that look similar to the infinity symbol. He took my idea and found something better, which is a characteristic I really love about him.”

One aspect of Alison Mae Photography that caught Kiara’s eye was her attention to detail. The couple appreciated Alison’s organization and easy-going attitude so much, they’re hiring her for their wedding, too!

Kiara and Andrew are drawing inspiration for pops of color and plants from the movie Crazy Rich Asians. “Of course, we do not have the same budget, but we have had fun trying to recreate some of the elements ourselves,” Kiara says. “We love our movies, so perfectly placed music to set the scene is a must.”
