Jane and Todd met under the bright lights of the theater! Jane was starring on stage while Todd was working on tech for the performance. Sparks flew when Todd proposed in Chicago, dropping down to one knee outside in a park during a particularly rainy and cold evening. Jane’s ‘yes’ brought warmth to both their hearts!

Jane tried on nineteen dresses between two stores, but knew she had found the one when it felt just right!

One of the perks of the Norris Estate that drew Jane to it was the bridal suite, and included florals and linens! Jane says, “It was so nice to have multiple services wrapped into one company, but our coordinator made sure that our meetings were focused on one thing at a time so that nothing fell through the cracks.” Combined with the gorgeous florals, Burns Rent-Alls provided the plates for a dazzling tablescape display!

As a child, Jane would plan imaginary weddings with her friends. When she started planning hers in real life, she knew she wanted her wedding to be outside and in the summer. “I had a wedding binder that helped keep me organized, and Todd to push me along,” Jane gushes. “We also went to two bridal shows, which was a fun way to meet lots of vendors!”

What we love

This couple loves to puzzle, so they completed a puzzle for their unity ceremony instead of lighting a candle. Their sweet tooth showed when they gave out homemade cookies as wedding favors and had cheesecake instead of traditional wedding cake! Yum! The bride and groom are off to Florida for their honeymoon, but Get Bronzed Spray Tanning provided a touch of color to give their skin a balmy glow before they leave!

Advice from the couple

Jane advises planning couples to start as early as possible. “The week of the wedding was a little crazy because there were so many little details that needed to be completed, so I wish I would have done more in the beginning.” She also adds that eating is important during the big day. “We had breakfast and lunch stuff set out the whole day while we were getting ready, and I am so glad we did! With nerves and excitement, it’s so easy to forget to eat and drink water!”
