Lucky in Love: WeddingDay’s Exclusive Northern Indiana Cover Shoot

The Vision

Inspired by the elegant feel of Four Winds Casino South Bend’s brand new event space, Burns Special Events, our cover shoot planner, designed a high-end celebration filled with luxurious details. Playing off the rich black and gold elements already in the venue’s ballroom, Burns designed a complementary color palette using black, gold, white and a pop of copper that just breathes opulence into the shoot!

The Venue

There could not have been a better venue for our elegant shoot than Four Winds Casino South Bend. There are so many unique spaces to shoot in the hotel and event space from the pool to the decked out halls and even the casino floor! We were lucky enough to utilize one of the impressive hospitality suites for our groom’s quarters before shooting in the grand ballroom, bar and outside ceremony area! Vilma Maria Boutique Photo Studio and Brandon Wilson Films did an incredible job ensuring all the glamor of this shoot was properly captured and didn’t miss a single gleam of the shining details!

The Florals

Burns Special Events also designed the breathtaking florals, which look absolutely gorgeous in their gold vases. The majority of the flowers utilized were white roses which fit the elegance in the shoot, but we absolutely love the gold ferns that are positioned behind the sweetheart table. They’re such a unique touch that give this otherwise classic shoot a tropical twist!

The Decor

We love how the design came together with the contrasting light and dark elements from Burns Special Events. The marble guest table and all the gold details throughout the reception like the painted leaves, chargers, silverware and even the legs of the glass dessert table elevate that feeling of elegance. The black and white details in the chairs, napkins and linens make the gold pop even more, while adding to the overall class. We also adore how the glass elements on the tables add to the luxurious vibe!

The Cake

Froehlich’s was the skillful genius behind the immaculate cake design. This delectable masterpiece was wrapped with a printed design on edible paper, adding a touch of artistry to its deliciousness. Instead of going the traditional route of adorning the cake with real flowers, they added fondant florals, further showcasing their talents.

The Look

A dapper looking groom is guaranteed with a classic black suit, but our bride steals the show in this showstopping look. She exudes glamor from head to toe with her strapless satin gown from Simply Yours Bridal, complete with a daring leg slit! We love the pairing with that long veil for some added drama as well. Nidia from Blushing Beauty & Co. styled her hair in a loosely curled half-up style with a few pieces left down to beautifully frame her face that Thee Makeup Team applied light, natural makeup to for a finishing touch and to highlight her natural beauty.

The Catering

The catering team, led by Chef Drew, at Four Winds Casino South Bend had our mouths watering with their plated arrangements of salads, hors d'oeuvres, entrées and desserts! Among some of the selections were the wood fired half chicken with Brussels sprouts and potato hash, grilled sweet potato with wild rice and our personal favorite, crème brûlée!
