Anna’s brother introduced her to Skyler after a camping trip. The two became fast friends and began dating soon after. When it came time to propose, Skyler took Anna to Muskegon Lake while pretending to plan a field trip for his students. “Surprise, surprise, he popped the question and proposed right on the beach!” Anna says. “Our friend Benji was there to shoot some pictures and our Dalmatian, Sullivan was also there!”
Anna found her perfect dress on her very first shopping trip to Bridal Elegance. “I wasn’t anticipating getting a dress the first dress appointment, but once it was on I just knew, and so did my mom!” she gushes. Anna looks stunning in this light thanks to these gorgeous images captured by Hetler Photography!
This couple loves being in nature, so having an outdoor ceremony was a must. “Luckily for us, it worked out with COVID,” Anna jokes. Getting to arrive and leave the ceremony on a farm carriage was definitely a plus!
What we love
Honoring those who couldn’t be present, Anna wore the ring her grandmother gave to her before she passed away. She adds, “I felt so much joy and love that day!”
Advice from the couple
Anna and Skyler encourage couples to utilize the friends and family around them who want to help. “I would say, the last two or three days before the wedding, take a deep breath and relax,” she adds. “At that point, there’s nothing else you can do--enjoy the memories!”
