A Purple Romance Style Shoot

Inspired by the beautiful Japanese flowers in season, Crystal from Floral Sense LLC dreamt up this beautifully romantic shoot. She reached out to her friends, Jennifer of McDonald Photography, Special Occasions East, The White Dress Shop, Ruby Slipper Design and Waldenwoods to pull all the pretty, purple-inspired details together.  

Featuring a ton of character, stone fireplaces and lake views from its ballroom, the venue set the mood for simplicity, beauty and “wooded wonder.”    

Florals were central to this team’s design. Blooming branches, raw cotton, Japanese sweet peas, lotus pods and even dried artichokes were just some of the gorgeous varieties composing the light and dark purple palette.
 

Some of the shoot’s lovely decor items included a large bridal bouquet, sweet lace overlay, the ever popular cross back chairs, a romantic sweetheart table and an antique sofa and trunk, juxtaposed perfectly against the 120-year-old buildings at Waldenwoods.
