Break out your maps and get ready for your next road trip! You'll definitely want to check out this local Midwest city that was entered into our Best Midwest Wedding City 2020 Contest. Every delightful destination that was nominated brings its own down-home charm that you won't find anywhere else. And don't just take it from us! Read on to see why Emily and Blake picked Granger, Indiana to tie the knot.
How did you know Granger was where you and Blake wanted to tie the knot?
"After looking at a couple venues, I realized that it was important to me to get married outside and be able to have people inside and outside at the reception. My hometown seemed like a great place where we had connections, my family still lives there, and it is fairly centrally located between where we live now and where Blake is from."
Did you use any local features in your wedding?
"The men's ties came from Stephenson's in downtown Elkhart. As soon as I got engaged, the one vendor I knew I wanted was Adam’s Cake Shop. They’ve made cakes for every important occasion in my life up to this point and my wedding was no exception."
What would you tell future couples who are looking to get married in Granger?
"Check out venues that might not interest you at first. I fell in love with Knollwood Country Club, an option that we added a tour of last minute. You don’t realize what you actually care about until it’s in front of you and you’re making real decisions."
