When Alexis Goodwin of A Good Event Planner and Design, LLC and Chettara T. Photography partnered to create a style shoot with a whole new vibe, Alexis knew they had to focus on bringing together a few unique elements to curate an edgy look. Alexis says, “I wanted to showcase something meaningful, different and elegant from a Detroit planner point of view. I absolutely love a themed wedding, so I knew I wanted to start there.”
Alexis knew that she had to have the shoot at The Whiskey Factory. She says, “The Whiskey Factory is a hidden gem in Detroit, and I wanted to shine more light there. It’s fairly new and the space is absolutely beautiful.” The space was ideal for a rustic backdrop that could be dressed up with elegant decor for an overall impressive style.
“Lace is key when it comes to rustic themed weddings,” says Alexis. “And the creamed color matched perfectly with the color scheme.” The team went for purple tones with lush, green florals and bright accents. This detail is seen within the floral designs from Lila Flora and gold table pieces from Event Theory.
The stationery was a subtle, yet bold addition to the design. Made by Design With Amore, it features purple lettering to achieve a regal feel. The bridal look also invites in a royal edge with a lace-decal gown from LeeAnne’s Luxury Bridal Boutique.
