Styles collide in the best way with this industrial boho style shoot! The idea behind this carefree, bohemian shoot came from Kacie Morgan, Sales and Events Coordinator at Minnetrista. She explains, “I was trying to highlight our best assets as a venue and showcase the talent and creativity we have here in Muncie. I wanted this styled shoot to be a fun and relaxing day for my vendor team and models.”
The Gallery at Minnetrista’s industrial yet elegant vibe served as a huge inspiration for this team. Kacie says, “It has these industrial photographs on the walls and a black ceiling, but it also has a warm wooden floor and soft ceiling drapery. We have a mix of outdoor spaces, but I chose to feature the most enchanting and unique ones.”
One of the challenges this team faced was not being able to put anything on the walls. Kacie explains, “The lighting is actually attached to the ceiling, which is seventeen feet high. Our Technical Manager of Museum Storytelling, Cassandra Cody, brought in a lift and strung the lights from the ceiling all the way to the floor.”
Rentals of simple pieces, such as the candle holders, cake stand and floral pedestals, gave the shoot an extra boost of industrial style. The devil is in the details!
The dress chosen for this shoot was an immediate fit. We love the off-shoulder style with the flair at the bottom! “It shows off the tattoos on her back and went well with her flower crown,” Kacie gushes. “It was perfect!”
This shoot was inspired by the trend of “moody hues.” By using a rich color palette, the team channeled a warm, autumn feeling that makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside. The pair of brides equally opted to do their own makeup to showcase their own natural beauty. The little floral accents added to the hairstyles give off big boho vibes!
