When Beth went to the Indy 500 qualifications in May of 2017, she did not expect to meet her future husband. During a rain delay, Cole—who works for an IndyCar team—spotted Beth in the balcony and threw his phone number to her. After this kismet meeting, the rest is history! Fitting for how they met, Cole decided to propose to Beth where it all began. They got engaged outside of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The dress that Beth chose to wear on her wedding day was the first dress she tried on! Beth shares, "It was the first I tried on, and no others matched it. The train and slit had me at 'hello'." We think it looks absolutely amazing with her natural makeup and classic bun. It also blends seamlessly with their modern-rustic yet elegant wedding.
Beth already knew what she wanted when the wedding planning began. Pinterest allowed her free inspiration! "I had several boards that I had created years leading up to the big day," Beth explains. Their outdoor ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. While it is a modern wedding, there are several classic touches around, and the black and white color scheme amplifies the elegance. We are obsessed!
Something that helped the happy couple truly capture their desired look is the venue they chose. The stunning rustic pavilion and barn have sleek modern touches—like the black-edged windows—to keep it elegantly modern. The vendor team Beth and Cole brought together for their day was truly perfect. Just look at the glamour captured in these picturesque golden-hour photos Kim Kaye Photography took!
What We Love
Instead of your stereotypical guest book, Beth and Cole opted to use an old phone. There is a company that will send you an old rotary phone for your guests to record voicemails on. Once your wedding is over, you can get their messages immortalized forever on a vinyl! To commemorate their first meeting and their proposal location, Beth and Cole also included white race cars on their guests' place settings.
Advice From The Couple
Beth and Cole advise, "Less is more. It's so easy to get carried away with the little details, but the less steps it takes you to create your vision, the easier and better your vision will come to life. Take moments to be alone. Random ones. It's an overwhelming, chaotic day. Breathe. You do not have to entertain everyone. They'll get it. Make plenty of time for you, your new boo and your photographer."
