A Timeless Indianapolis Wedding: The Real Wedding of Tara and Taylor Sullivan

College finals were a blessing in disguise for this couple. Tara and Taylor met in a mutual friend's dorm room during their college's finals week. They might have been stressed, but got blessed with a great relationship! Taylor proposed during a trip to Cancun, Mexico, on the couple’s five year anniversary. We love the surprise of destination proposals!

We are fawning over Tara’s dress with its classic style! She notes, “I knew I wanted a plunging neckline and a timeless dress and I thought my dress was exactly that!”

Tara says she immediately started looking at venues after their engagement. She says, “I always wanted an outdoor wedding but was worried about the weather so our venue gave me the outdoor feel but with big doors and windows!”

What we love

This couple had great flexibility when it came to the details of their wedding. Tara says, “During our ceremony, I walked down the aisle to a piano version of ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur. My husband really wanted that to be our first dance song, but it wasn’t a good dance song, but we were still able to incorporate it that way which made it special.”

Advice from the couple

Tara gives some classic advice: don’t stress! “You can only control so much. Do what you want, because at the end of the day, your wedding is about you and your love.”
