Edgy and industrial style is definitely an aesthetic that has a special place in the world of weddings these days. More and more brides are drawn to the simple, blank slate appeal of this modern look.
For Meaghan Kenny of Fox + Fern Events and her team, the trendy Warehouse MRKT, located in Traverse City, Michigan, provided the perfect, urban backdrop for their vision—a vision whose purpose was to show that edgy, industrial décor can still be fun and beautiful. Meaghan says, “We paired modern copper and geometric styled décor with greenery and white-based flower pieces, which helped to soften the sharp edges and concrete pieces included in the shoot.”
A sultry Elizabeth Dye dress, fierce model and equally sharp groom were just the ingredients needed to make their dream look happen. As for the florals, the team took a greenery heavy approach, using white Lisianthus as a nod to the snow and an abundance of seeded eucalyptus.
Besides all the great, clean lines, bronze and copper elements and greenery, a simple, white cake and vanilla cupcakes were added and brought balance to the darker tones. Lanterns and candles provided by 307 Events were also infused.
