After meeting through mutual friends in 2012, Blake eventually used their renovated water tower house to propose to Hannah. Refusing to show Hannah any photos of the house, Blake had her visit where he proposed by writing "Will you marry me?" on a piece of drywall and using a ring pop before presenting the real ring.
"My ring!" Hannah gushes. "It's everything I ever imagined and more!" Blake insisted he pick out what ring he thought Hannah would like even though she was more than willing to send him example photos of what she liked. When the time came, Blake spoke with Hannah's great aunt, who worked at Zales. Together, they created a ring that Hannah loves!
Finding their engagement session photographer was easy for Hannah. "I have been eyeing Kalli June Photography for over a year now," Hannah admits. "I love her style, color scheme and rawness to her pictures." Of course, Hannah contacted Kalli June immediately after the proposal to schedule her for both this engagement session and their big day!
Though planning can be stressful, Hannah reminds herself what the day is really about and it helps keep her grounded. In fact, Hannah has even come up with some tips to help with the planning. In setting a budget, she suggests picking three parts of your day to allot more of your budget. "In terms of spending always ask yourself 'Will this make our and/or someone’s experience at our wedding better?'" Hannah suggests. "And last but obviously important is simply have fun with the planning process!"
