Imagine stepping into a garden paradise just for you and your future spouse on your wedding day. That was the dream Jessica from J Bennett Design wanted to bring to life.
Obviously, flowers were the main décor item utilized in this shoot. Jessica explains, "We photographed the wedding design in January, using flowers that would still be in season in the spring." To bring more natural aspects into the shoot, Jessica chose to use wildflowers in various colorful tones around the venue.
Zingerman's Cornman Farms was the perfect backdrop for this shoot. Jessica transformed the rustic farmhouse interior into a garden love nest for an intimate ceremony. She covered the walls in vines and the bookshelves with flowers. The venue was the perfect intimate space for a micro-wedding! The light from the antique brass and crystal chandelier created leafy silhouettes along the walls, which made the vines feel fuller.
Besides providing a place to shoot, Zingerman's also provided the food and cake for this shoot. "Zingerman’s Bakehouse made a simple cake with a wafer paper garden rose set atop soft buttercream," Jessica gushes. Though the cake is simple, the wreath of flowers around it pulls the whole shoot together. And that buttercream frosting makes our mouths water!
The bride's gown has plenty of intricate designs that remind us of flower petals or leaves. We also think the groom's white jacket looks sleek with the surroundings and is a nice contrast to the colorful flowers of the shoot! For hair and makeup, Jessica wanted to highlight the natural beauty of the bride. The hairstylist also added fresh flowers to the bride's hair to bring the garden theme into the look. Her floral earrings were a perfect touch to this look!
