This Zionsville Wedding is Full of Blushing Romance: The Real Wedding of Kaylee and Chris Beck

Meeting through mutual friends, Kaylee and Chris knew there was something special when the pair hit it off during their night out for pizza. After nearly two years of dating, Chris popped the question during a family trip to the Cayman Islands. Kaylee remembers, “After, I said ‘Are you kidding?’ and ‘Oh my gosh, you’re going to make me cry.’” We love a great surprise!

Kaylee knew she wanted a dress with a mermaid shape and a little lace. We absolutely adore the soft ruffles of the dress that she fell in love with!

This couple dove right into planning, waiting only nine months to tie the knot. Kaylee had many ways to keep herself organized, including multiple Excel sheets for her budget, guest lists, itinerary and more.

What we love

Kaylee and her bridesmaids got ready at her and Chris’s home. “I loved the fact that I was able to get ready in the same place that Chris and I would begin our lives together,” Kaylee says. “It’s also special to me that I will be able to look back at the pictures of me getting ready with our future kids and be able to show them exactly where the picture was taken!”

Advice from the couple

Kaylee suggests that couples splurge a little on key vendors of their big day, such as photographers and coordinators. She notes, “You get what you pay for and I highly recommend paying a little more for your wedding photographer. You will be looking at your wedding pictures for the rest of your life!”
