This soft, ultra-romantic style shoot looks like stills from a summer blockbuster;  It’s a combination Downton Abbey/Great Gatsby-inspired wedding, complete with a 20s-era stunner of a gown, heirloom lace linens and opulent emerald jewels. The hydrangeas and roses on the table were so fresh and dewy, they could have been picked that very morning. 

the PHOTOGRAPHY

The photographer captured old-world elegance in a classic, clean and timeless manner using medium format film. The shoot took place on a rainy afternoon at the sophisticated Indianapolis Museum of Art, proving that precipitation can add depth and texture to wedding photography. 

the PALETTE

Touches of elegance were added to a color palette of emerald green (paying homage to the pantone color of the year), gold, mint, blush and ivory. Soft peach and pink florals enhanced the nostalgic feel, as did the white peony bridal bouquet. 

FINISHING TOUCHES

More details provided by the creative synergy of the Indianapolis wedding vendors included vintage china, crystal, handmade desserts and open-faced sandwiches. The invitations utilized floral details, elegant fonts and custom calligraphy.
