The Wedding Story of Chloe and Jeremy Bushey

It’s a pretty special day when you are wed on the property where you grew up—a place that has family history and a personal beauty all its own. Chloe and Jeremy, a couple who went to neighboring high schools, had mutual friends growing up, and even studied engineering at Purdue University, weren't officially introduced until years later at Chloe’s birthday party. Befittingly, it was held at her parent’s property, a place that would come to have even more meaning for the happy couple when they decided to get married there.
 

Chloe admits she tried on every dress in the world before finding her breathtaking Amsale Nouvelle gown, a beautiful A-line vision with beading and sparkles.
 

Chloe says, “Jeremy and I made the wedding ceremony extremely unique to us, and it was my favorite part of the day. We wrote our vows together while camping on the coast in Big Sur. We planted a tree on my parent’s farm during the ceremony, and we chose a unique reading that we felt perfectly described our relationship. I also splurged on some small items throughout the day that would make it feel more special. Champagne flutes, cake serving tools, a beautiful clutch to carry throughout the day. I felt like these were absolutely worth the time and resources it took to find the items!“
 

 

The D.I.Y. Details

“I designed the invitations, gift signs, guest book, seating chart sign, bar signs, programs, and more,” explains Chloe. “I also learned brush calligraphy to address my invitations and create directional signs for the day. (With the exception of the sign behind the bar, which Adorning Oaks made for me!”
