Amanda and Randall met at Bowling Green State University in 2006. Although they went their separate ways, they couldn't be kept apart and reconnected in 2016. After a year of long distance, Randall moved to Louisville, so the couple could be closer together, and Amanda joined him there shortly after. This couple's proposal couldn't have been sweeter. Amanda says, "Randall proposed to me in downtown Loveland. We packed BLTs for the humans and chicken and rice for Lola (our dog). We stopped to play on the swings, then Randall and Lola splashed in the river. After walking around for an unusually long time, Randall got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We celebrated with our favorite ice cream from Graters that night. We kept it our secret until the next day when we celebrated with my family."
Like many future brides-to-be, Amanda had been searching for rings well before their engagement. Years later, when they were ready to take their relationship to the next level, the couple went to a jewelry store to look at rings together. However, Randall ultimately made the final decision on his own. Amanda shares, "I love my ring, because it is the perfect combination of what I envisioned and what Randall envisioned. It is a timeless setting and the band is unique, like us."
Amanda knew she had found their photographer after attending a bridal show and meeting Nicole and Ryan of Off the Film Photography. When it comes to planning the rest of their wedding, Amanda says, "We both have an idea of what we want. We want a small wedding that includes things we love from friends and family. As we have started looking at venues, making lists and making plans–things have changed a little, but we are most excited about all of the special touches that will be included in our wedding day from friends and family."
