During the main portion of the COVID lockdown in 2020, Adriana and David chose to swipe right. Twelve days after a socially-distanced first date, they decided to move in together to avoid quarantine without one another. In November of 2020, David took Adriana to Fallingwater in Bear Run, Pennsylvania. Having a career in teaching architecture, David knew this was one of her favorite buildings and picked them to propose in front of!

When it came to dress shopping, Adriana felt a little lost. "I had no idea what I was looking for," Adriana admits. "I went to a few big dress stores and didn’t really feel anything so my sister, who lives in NYC, had me come out for a week and scheduled a bunch of fittings with different designers." They visited a shop that carried a dress that Adriana had loved on Instagram. However, that one did not suit Adriana or her vision for her wedding. However, in that salon, they were able to find the stunning, lacy gown that she ended up with. We think it was the perfect choice!

The couple ended up having two ceremonies to celebrate their love due to most of Adriana's mom's family still living in Greece. For the ceremony in the United States, the happy couple chose to get married somewhere that meant a lot to them, Adriana's family farm. Adriana shares, "We walked the property together and picked a spot to have the ceremony outdoors and knew that we would need a tented reception since none of the existing structures were large enough to fit our guest list." David has fond memories on the property as well from helping Adriana's dad with sheep, hanging out there on weekends, and asking for Adriana's dad's blessing to marry his daughter on the patio where cocktail hour was held.

Once they planned on getting married at the family farm, the theme all started to come together. "We really wanted to keep the décor that we brought in for the wedding simple so that the farm would be the highlight. My mom has beautiful gardens throughout the property so we only needed to have decoration/florals in the reception tent," Adriana gushes. "I didn’t want to have matching bridesmaid dresses and chose a green color palette because it contained colors that would flatter all of my bridesmaids." We think the stunning grounds are the best décor a couple could ask for. The whole space looks absolutely breathtaking!

What We Love

The happy couple added a ton of personal touches throughout the wedding and reception from having Adriana's dad officiate the ceremony to serving food family style at dinner. "David is an Eagle Scout and works for Crossroads of America, the central Indiana Scouts BSA council, so I commissioned a felt camp banner from Oxford Pennants that hung on the head table that said 'Camp Elser' and had portraits of our two dogs, Otter and Pepper," Adriana raves. They also included their dogs on the cake topper as well!

Advice from the Couple

Both Adriana and David advise, "Make decisions based on what resonates and is meaningful to you."
