The Wedding Story of Kaitlin & Nathan Oppenhuizen

Carri Fras |  November 8, 2017

A family trip to Europe turned out to be life-changing for Kaiti and Nate, a couple who went to high school together and reconnected years later after attending different colleges. This trip with Nate’s family provided them with the chance to see Germany, France, Scotland, and England—Kaiti’s dream. But the true highlight for Kaiti was visiting Chatsworth house in Derbyshire, England—the setting for her all-time favorite book, Pride and Prejudice. She had no idea an even bigger dream was about to come true, and her Mr. Darcy would be proposing to her. With her beloved Chatsworth House in the background, Nate knelt down with his very own handmade wooden box and proposed. Needless to say, Kaiti was ecstatic he made her own love story come true!

Carri Fras |  November 2, 2017

There are many ways to interpret “modern romance.” For us and our great team of talented vendors, it was a culmination of ideas that resulted in a gorgeously modern mix that was both fresh and full of beautiful summer hues. Hannah Strickler of Design the Day did an excellent job refining the initial vision into one as vibrant and crisp as the sunny day it was shot on.

The Wedding Story of Jillian & Austin Helmuth

Carri Fras |  November 1, 2017

Jillian needed a little push from above before taking a leap of faith with Austin. Although they had parted ways since meeting in college, it was a small action taken by Austin that would have big results years later. “During our freshman year at church, he had written his name in my bible at 1 John,” Jillian recalls. “Two years after I graduated, I found it when my pastor was doing a sermon on that passage and decided to reconnect with him. If that’s not a sign from God, I don’t know what is!” After writing letters to eachother and weekends spent together halfway between Pennsylvania and Indiana, the two finally found their forever.

It’s true our friends sometimes know us better than we do and, lucky for Jennifer, she had her girlfriend by her side the day she spotted what would be her future husband. “We first saw each other while we were having lunch at the Skyline Club downtown.

The Wedding Story of Angela and Kevin Harrington

Carri Fras |  October 18, 2017

In our opinion, getting caught in the rain with your love has a certain air of romance about it, and, for Kevin Harrington, it was the perfect time to propose to Angela, who he met their freshman year of high school.

The Wedding Story of Marielle and Michael Keller

Savannah Hope |  October 11, 2017

Marielle and Mike met after he, being the President of the student body at Butler University, nominated Marielle to be one of the Vice Presidents. This meant that the two were spending more time together—not that either of them were complaining.
