Wild Romance: An Innovative & Organic Wedding at the Indianapolis Zoo
Savannah Hope | October 11, 2018The zoo is a place to have fun and be curious, but — more importantly — it is a place where we can create heartwarming memories with the ones we love. As an unexpected and exciting venue option—zoos are often overlooked, yet they host some of the most contemporary, eye-catching event spaces. That is why we looked to the Indianapolis Zoo as the location for this cover shoot. Its earthy spaces and exotic animals offered unusual inspiration for an organic and delicate theme with soft hues of purple and floral elements. Sarah Farthing of All in the Details was the experienced planner who brought this vision to life. Like the whimsy and inquisitiveness that you may feel while exploring the zoo, we wanted to create a similar feeling of excitement and invite an innovative look into wedding venues.

Savannah Hope | October 10, 2018After Kendra and Tyler met at a trunk show at Kendra’s work, Tyler asked her out for drinks, and the two bonded over their creative and funny personalities. But Kendra, who is not a big fan of surprises, knew something was up before they even made it to the proposal site, and Tyler clued her into what was going on in order to steady her nerves. Kendra says, “After saying 'yes' and embracing, we took time to look through all of the pictures together. It was a beautiful moment to sit and reflect on all of the little moments that made our relationship. I totally ruined the ‘surprise’ of the proposal, but looking back, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was so completely us.”
