A Bold and Mysterious Style Shoot in Downtown Detroit

Chettara T. Photography has always loved the characters, Carmen Sandiego and Waldo, from the mystery video game. She says, “Both characters are elusive, mysterious, fun and for sure have their own style. So, my vision was to bring that to life.” The style shoot team was challenged to create a shoot full of edgy style, mysterious romance and fiery style. 
 

The team wanted to capture a location that was as mysterious as the characters the shoot was based on. The team notes, “It’s a big city with a lot of hidden beauty. We managed to snag a couple of amazing spots. It fit because we were going for the cityscape with marble-like museums and architecture.” The parallel style of the strong, stoic structures and the bold characters helped to curate that powerful edge. 
 

One detail that cannot be missed is the unique jeweler utilized by the team. They note, “An exciting addition was the opalized ammonite fossil of the neck piece created by Emma Elizabeth Jewelry. The shell of the ammonite flashed vibrant red colors playing very nicely with the dress!” Those deep, rich hues of red gave the bridal look a daring note surrounded by feminine design. 
 

The stationery was another focal point of the shoot. Created by Morheart Designs, the stationery included bold, clean design that mimicked the theme of the shoot. The team says, “There was an invitation included in the inspiration for the shoot, but the outcome was a more modern announcement to fit the industrial setting of downtown Detroit.” The design also included a mysterious map design. The team highlights, “A map was, of course, necessary with coordinates to mark the site, and a small shot of red was included as a nod to Carmen Sandiego!”
