Although Maddi and Tom met in high school, they were not high school sweethearts. Maddi says, “My spouse and I went to the same high school. We knew each other and were friends but nothing more. It wasn’t until after high school that we reunited our friendship and began falling for each other."

Maddi and Tom fell for each other quickly and soon Tom popped the big question. After a definite yes, the couple began planning. Maddi says, “I began my planning process by finding a special date that matched all of my favorite vendors.”

Maddi knew that she wanted a charming, feminine wedding. She says, “Girly, southern and modern farmhouse decor were my inspiration. I like colors simple, neutral and calming. I also loved magnolia flowers because they look beautiful on their own.” Maddi ended up mixing that farmhouse-like decor with a simple, elegant style for a super cute wedding!

Like a lot of us out there, Maddi loves Hayley Paige and knew that was the designer she wanted to wear on her big day. She adds, “I was obsessed with the designer Hayley Paige because her dresses are fun, flirty and glamorous! I wanted my look to be southern and classy, but elegant. I found that with my Hayley Paige dress named ‘Dare’ from House of White Bridal in Newburgh, Indiana. I highly recommend any bride trying House of White. They helped me find my perfect Hayley Paige dress within no time.” The staff at House of White was able to give Maddi the bridal shopping experience of a lifetime.

What we love

Maddi and Tom included some extra special moments on their big day. Maddi says, “Some special touches that made our day special were taking pictures at my family’s lawnmower shop. We took some pictures outside in front of tractors and inside on lawn mowers.” These photos will be something that the couple can cherish forever. The couple also included items from both sides of their families that were amazing. “We displayed our mothers’ wedding gowns at the reception,” says Maddi. “Those are the big touches I remember from our wedding day that made it special!”

Advice form the bride

Maddi says, “Roll with the punches! Don’t sweat the little things! Enjoy your day…you only get to live it once!”
