Cheyenne Fox with Nerdy Fox Rentals & Designs came up with the concept for this shoot and brought Chanda from Whisk Bakery and Maria from Maria McKenzie Photography together to finalize the details. “All three of us found amazing vendors that contributed to this shoot,” explains Chandra.

Cheyenne says, “As the planner and designer, I wanted to show something raw and hard, with the right touch of delicate, but not something you would necessarily consider for a wedding. Since so many brides are moving more towards an industrial look, I wanted to create a wedding I had not seen before with some local creatives. There is a new venue located in downtown Indianapolis called Industry. Their brick walls, wooden tables and Edison lights were the perfect touches for this concept. I came across the idea of using concrete one day, and I loved how clean but rough it looked. I literally went to my nearest hardware store and loaded up on concrete blocks in a few different shapes and sizes.”

White roses, overgrown moss, succulents, dusty blue and cornflower yellow hues were just the details Cheyenne needed to soften the concrete.

The team chose two different looks—one edgier and the other whimsical. Cheyenne says, “Allison Linnae Hair created two beautiful looks. The first bride had a flowing and loose side braid that swept across her shoulder. The other bride had an updo with a side swept bang. Both brides had a neutral bridal look for makeup. The vendors were given full creative abilities to create these looks.”

Cheyenne says, “Our cake was three tiers and set up on concrete blocks for the stand. The bottom layer of cake was inspired by stone and marble using a mirror glaze. The middle layer incorporated a concrete gray solid layer and was topped off with an ivory colored layer with geometric piping to match one of the wedding dresses."

“The ceremony was set up with a moon gate arch and concrete blocks on each side,” explains Cheyenne. “The holes of the blocks were decorated with succulents and gold candlesticks. The head table has a sweeping, white tulle fabric draping down each side. Dusty blue candlesticks, succulents and gold place settings added the glam to the head table. Tall, pillar candles in cylinder vases were placed at the base of the table to complete the look.”

The fusion of different elements and texture continued with the reception table. It featured gold place settings, vintage glassware and two smaller concrete blocks stacked and covered in moss for the centerpiece. A dusty blue table runner and succulents in concrete pots were also infused.
